A marvelous job has been done by Ken Goldberg, a professor at University of California, Berkeley, his graduate student Jeff Mahler & their crew. They've developed a special robot's brain using software Dex-Net, thanks to which the two-arm robot can pick a great variety of objects with an unbelievable efficiency. The solution was presented at the San Francisco event EmTech Digital dedicated to artificial intelligence, organized by MIT Technology Review. We are happy to contribute with one piece of the puzzle - PhoXi 3D Scanner that gifts the extremely dexterous robot with sight.

Photoneo has made it to the 50 Millennial Entrepreneurs Driving The Future of Tech in Europe. Every company from the so-called #EUTop50 had a unique opportunity to present itself at the European Parliament in Brussels on 28 November . Photoneo was represented by our COO Michal Maly who held a speech on automation and our 3D sensing technology.

We've had a great time in Silicon Valley during October/November. Photoneo is one of this year's ABB IdeaHub Innovation Challenge 10 selected finalists from all over the world, who had a chance to present their ideas to the executive management of ABB Robotics during the ABB Pitch Day in San Jose. Our CEO Jan Zizka also held a presentation at the Silicon Valley Robotics Meetup. The Collaborative Robots and Advanced Vision Conference (CRAV2017) organized by AIA and RIA was also an exceptional opportunity to introduce ourselves to the US market. Last but not least, we've enjoyed dozens of interesting and encouraging meetings moving us a leap forward. No autumn blues for Photoneo, please! ;)

Last week, we've had an opportunity to join HE, Slovak President Andrej Kiska on his three-day tour to Mexico. It's been the first-ever official visit of the Slovak President in Mexico. The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) had selected a few representatives of Slovak innovation, automotive, energy, and telecommunications industries, interested in business opportunities in Mexico, including Photoneo, to accompany the President. According to Kiska, Mexico is currently Slovakia's most important trade partner in Latin America. Photoneo is looking forward to utilize the cooperation potential found in Mexico.
